Tajikistan’s Per Capita GDP Grew by 12 Percent
DUSHANBE, 11.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan’s per capita GDP increased by 7.3% in 2018, reaching 7,565 somoni ($800), said the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon during his annual State of the Nation Address.
Inflation remained at a steady 5.4%.
Previous to that in 2017, per capita GDP had increased by 12%, reaching 6,840 somoni. That was 8% over the planned program indicators.
In 2018 Tajikistan’s GDP reached 68 billion somoni ($7.1 billion).
Tajikistan’s per capita GDP over the past four decades averaged around $786.
Per capita GDP is expected reach around $1000 in 2019.
