Two Tajik Football Defenders Will Play for Malaysian and Indonesian Clubs
DUSHANBE, 21.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The central defenders of the national football team of Tajikistan Siyovush Asrorov and Khurshed Beknazarov will continue their careers in Malaysia and Indonesia, reports the Press Service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT).
The 26-year-old Asrorov played for the national football team of Tajikistan since 2014. During that time, he played in 35 matches. He is a graduate of the Kurgan-Tyube Football School and for the last six years he played for Istiqlol FC. Asrorov became a repeat champion of Tajikistan and with Istiqlol FC reached the AFC Cup finals twice, in 2015 and 2017.
Leaving Istiqlol FC behind, he will continue his career with the Malaysian PKNS FC (Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor).
PKNS FC was founded in 1967. The club entered the Malaysian Premier League in 2004. Currently, it plays in the Malaysian Super League. The club is owned by a private company PKNS Sports Sdn Bhd.
The new season in the Malaysian Super League will start in the beginning of February.
Another Tajik defender, the 24-year-old Khurshed Beknazarov will play for the Indonesian PS Tira.
Beknazarov is a graduate of Vakhsh. He played for Khujand FC the last two seasons and won the silver medal of the national championship twice. Beknazarov was named the best defender of Tajikistan’s championship last year.
In 2018, PS Tira took 15th place in the Indonesian championship and retained its registration in the elite division. PS Tira, which was founded in 2015, represents the city of Cibinong.
