Somon Air Will Fly to Istanbul’s New Airport
DUSHANBE, 05.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik company Somon Air will fly to the new Istanbul Airport beginning March 3, when the airport will become fully operation. Currently, the airline operates flights to Attaturk Airport,- one of three airports in Istanbul.
The change will take place due to the transition of all flights from Ataturk Airport.
The new airport is recognized as the largest in the world and is located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of the center of Istanbul, near the Black Sea, reported the Press Center of Somon Air.
The new airport with a capacity of 200 million passengers, initially plans to accommodate 90 million.
Somon Air currently operates flights between Dushanbe and Istanbul every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The departure time from Dushanbe International Airport is 18:00, and from Istanbul Airport at 22:40 local time.
Additionally, Somon Air operates flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the United Arab Emirates, China, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
