Tajik Ambassador to the UK Discusses Provision of Scholarships for Tajik Students
DUSHANBE, 21.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Ambassador Extraordinary of Tajikistan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Masud Khalifazoda met with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement Alexandra Hughes, Director of Global, Recruitment & Admissions Adrian Dutch and the Head of Transnational Education of the University of Westminster Stephen Wallis this Tuesday.
The parties discussed the issues relating to the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement, adoption and implementation of joint programs between universities of both countries and providing scholarships for Tajik students. Khalifazoda presented the books authored by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the collection of the University of Westminster.
The University of Westminster is one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom. It was established in 1838 as the Royal Polytechnic Institution. Later in 1992, it was awarded university status.
