Tajik Boxers Won Two Gold Medals in Bishkek
DUSHANBE, 26.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik boxers won four medals, including two gold, at a sports event in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
In the weight category of 64 kg among women Shoira Zulkainarova won a gold medal. Bahodur Usmonov in the weight category of 63 kg among men won also won a gold medal for the Tajik team, reported the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
Two other Tajik boxers, Idimoh Kholova among women won a silver medal and Siyovush Zuhurov, among was a recipient of a bronze medal.
Ten boxers represented Tajikistan in the competition, which was held on February 20-24 in Bishkek in memory of a Hero of the Soviet Union Duyshonqul Shopokov.
Nearly 200 boxers from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Thailand and Tajikistan competed for a total of 13 medals.
