DUSHANBE, 13.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – An international traveling photo exhibition held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China’s reforms and openness policy took place yesterday at the National Library of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.
The Ambassador of China to Tajikistan Liu Bin, the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda, as well as representatives of the creative intelligentsia, media, students and the general public attended the opening ceremony.
“The photo exhibition represents the historical dates and great achievements of China’s reforms and openness policy and demonstrates the fruitful results of China’s win-win cooperation with the world. Thanks to a series of bright photos, visitors will be able to better understand the process of reforms and openness, the impact of these events on the whole world,” said Bin.
“Perhaps 40 years in the history of mankind is a short moment, but it is a whole epoch of the development of modern China. For 40 years China not only developed itself, but also benefited the whole world. For many years, China’s contribution to global growth exceeded 30%. China has become the second largest economy in the world, a major industrial and trading country,” noted Bin.
Regarding the China-Tajikstan relations, Bin noted that both countries are actively cooperating in various fields, including in the humanitarian, educational and cultural fields.
“More than 3,500 Tajik students are studying in China. The interest to learn Chinese is also growing in Tajikistan. Various cultural events are held to strengthen friendship and prosperity of the peoples of the two states. China will continue to develop fruitful cooperation with friendly Tajikistan,” added Bin.
One such cultural event is the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in China, which is planned to be held soon in the cities of Beijing and Xinyan.
“This is yet another step in strengthening of cultural ties between two friendly peoples,” said Orumbekzoda.
