President Emomali Rahmon Accompanied by Mayor Rustam Emomali Attends Bus-assembling Plant Opening Ceremony in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 19.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon accompanied by Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali has attended the bus-assembling plant opening ceremony. The opening ceremony took place in the Firdavsi District of Dushanbe.
By orders and instructions of the head of state, the limited liability company Akia Avesto Automotive Industry has completed the construction and officially introduced into operation the bus-assembling plant.
The company was established as a joint plant by a domestic company Avesto Group LLC and a Turkish trading company Ulishem with the aim of facilitating the set national goal of industrializing the country.
A joint Tajik-Turkish plant reportedly has an annual production capacity of 300 vehicles. The number of local specialists will be around 200 people. The construction and installation of the production line of public passenger transport plant costs 90 million somoni.
The produced and assembled buses confirm to the Euro 5 standards and are equipped with Mercedes-Benz and ZF Friedrichshafen AG engines. All spare parts are high quality and are purchased with a special guarantee from renowned German and Turkish companies. The plan is to produce five different types of buses in stages.
The joint plant’s aim is to supply the demand of Tajikistan as well as to export to other countries in the region.
During the tour, the head of state Emomali Rahmon was shown a model of the Fiberglass Pipe Manufacturing Enterprise built by Avesto Group.
The construction of the enterprise for the production of fiberglass pipes is carried out jointly with one of the world’s leading company, the Turkish SuperlitBoru.
According to the plan, the enterprise with the expected production capacity of up to 150, 000 meters per year will be built in an area encompassing four hectares. The diameter of the pipes produced will be from 300 mm to 3,000 mm. Over 50 people will be provided with permanent jobs. The enterprise’ goal is to facilitate import substitution. When working at full capacity, it will be possible to export the company’s products to neighboring countries.
