Emomali Rahmon and Sooronbay Jeenbekov discussed the Tajik – Kyrgyz cooperation
DUSHANBE, 26.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov discussed the Tajik – Kyrgyz relationship, both in bilateral and multilateral formats, and within the framework of international and regional organizations. The active position of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan was also mentioned in the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
The discussion focused on the development prospects in the political, trade and economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as maintaining good-neighborly relations.
Special attention was also paid to the expansion of trade and economic relations, increasing trade turnover, the use available opportunities for cooperation, in particular relating to energy resources and the timely implementation of the regionally significant Central Asia-South Asia power project (CASA-1000).
