A Round Table on Tobacco and Lung Health Will Be Held at Khovar’s Republican Press Center
DUSHANBE, 24.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – A round table on the Tobacco and Lung Health dedicated to the World No Tobacco Day will be held on May 28 at Khovar’s Republican Press Center.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan in collaboration with the Representative Office of the World Health Organization in Tajikistan.
The round table will focus on the crucial role of lungs for the health and well-being of each person, the harmful consequences of tobacco use, the causes of lung cancer and chronic respiratory diseases, as well as on the need for effective measures to reduce tobacco consumption.
A press conference will be held following the round table.
The World No Tobacco Day is marked annually worldwide on May 31.
