DUSHANBE, 01.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message to the Emperor Emeritus of Japan Akihito.

The message reads in part:

On these historic days, I have the honor to extend my deep gratitude to You for Your sincere friendship, trust and stable cooperation.

With pleasure, I keep the very good memories of our meetings and talks that I had with You in previous years. I would like to note that we appreciate Your Highness’ significant contribution to strengthening and expanding the friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan and we highly appreciate Your support in this field.

I hope that the tradition of an amicable relationship between our countries will continue to grow, covering new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

I wish You, Your Highness, good health and happiness and to the friendly people of Japan continued progress and prosperity.»
