DUSHANBE, 31.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – On May 31, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presided over the session of the government of Tajikistan.

The Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development Numon Abdughafforzoda delivered a report on the procedure of the implementation of the tourism development program in Tajikistan through 2020 and on Action Plan for the Implementation of the Tourism Development Strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period up to 2030.

President Emomali Rahmon, instructed the government to take concrete measures for the timely and effective implementation of the tourism development program as well as for the development of the necessary infrastructure.

The discussion also focused on the procedure for the return of funds by young professionals studying at the expense of the state budget, the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Making Changes and Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan,” “On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2019,» and “On Normative Legal Acts.»

Five bills were submitted to the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan for consideration. The bills concern the laws “On Public Authorities,» “On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs,” and “On Poultry Farming.»

A range of current issues were also discussed, including the Action Plan related to the improvement of the investment climate in the agrarian sector  and the development of agribusiness trough 2021, Coordination Council on the financial risk management in the state-owned enterprises as well as Student Scholarships Policy, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellows (PDFs) in institutions of secondary, vocational and research education.

The Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali reported on the measures of landscaping work dedicated to the 30th anniversary of state independence in the capital, providing an abundance of essential products in the market, price control with the organization of an exhibition of agricultural products, providing one-time charitable assistance to needy residents, and preparing the capital for regional and international events.

At the end of the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon gave specific instructions to the responsible individuals for the timely fulfillment of tasks set at the meeting and the implementation of the preparation works for the winter heating season and the continuation of preparatory measures taken for the 30th anniversary of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan as well as to provide financial assistance to vulnerable people on the occasion of Ramadan.
