President Emomali Rahmon receives Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Aidarbaekov
DUSHANBE, 17.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – On the sidelines of the high-level conference International and Regional Cooperation on Countering Terrorism and Its Financing through Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbaekov. The meeting took place on May 17th in the city residence of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The two sides discussed topical issues concerning bilateral cooperation, including solving regional problems.
The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon emphasized that through their participation in joint undertakings both countries can make a significant contribution to ensuring security in their states and the region as a whole.
Aidarbaekov commemded President Emomali Rahmon and the Tajik government for successfully organizing and the conference and thanked them for their hospitality.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the current aspects of the Tajik-Kyrgyz relations with the emphasis on the development of cooperation within the UN, SCO, CSTO and CIS.
