Tajikistan and US Discuss State of Relations
DUSHANBE, 03.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov met with the US Ambassador to Tajikistan John Mark Pommersheim today in Dushanbe to discuss the current state and prospects of cooperation and development.
The officials noted that currently, Tajik-American relations in the spheres of politics, economy, education, culture, security and the fight against international terrorism are developing effectively.
The parties stated that Tajikistan and the US will consistently strive to strengthen and develop priority areas of inter-legislative cooperation and expand the legal framework and cooperation within international and regional organizations.
The conversation also touched upon the Assembly’s intensions and plans regarding Tajikistan’s economic development.
