Emomali Rahmon Visited Minsk Tractor Works
DUSHANBE, 29.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – During his official visit to Belarus, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon toured through the Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ), where he was shown the latest generation of agricultural machinery produced by MTZ.
MTZ is a major industrial enterprise in Minsk, which has cooperation agreements with Tajikistan and 70 other countries.
President Emomali Rahmon noted that Tajikistan is ready to establish joint ventures between MTZ and other regions of Tajikistan, and to utilize other possibilities to establish close and fruitful cooperation that will benefits both parties. The current Belarusian agricultural machinery assembly plant in Tajikistan is located in the city of Hisor.
The creation of new joint ventures will contribute to the creation of new jobs, the production of quality products, the provision of agricultural equipment to the country’s farms, and the implementation of rapid industrialization, which is the fourth national goal of Tajikistan.
President Emomali Rahmon also visited the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), where heavy duty trucks, buses, trolleybuses, tractors, semi-trailers, and cranes manufactured by MAZ were showcased.
President Emomali Rahmon called on the MAZ management to take part in the implementation of large-scale hydropower projects in Tajikistan and to introduce their potential and opportunities to the Tajik market.
