President Emomali Rahmon and President of Iran Discuss Tajik-Iranian Multilateral Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 15.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, on the sidelines of the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Hassan Rouhani.
The meeting focused on various aspects of multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
President Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that the holding of the fifth CICA summit with the active participation of the heads of member states would create a favorable basis for expanding cooperation among the countries of the region in solving global problems.
The counterparts touched upon the questions of development of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, and the expansion of relations in the fields of health, education, science, technology, culture, as well as infrastructure and communications.
Both leaders also had a constructive talk on the current and further situation in Afghanistan as well as on the other regional and international issues.
