President Emomali Rahmon Invited Turkish President to Pay an Official Visit to Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 15.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, in the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in the margins of the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), met with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The meeting focused on the state of mutually friendly relations in the political, economic, commercial, social, tourist, cultural areas and long-term partnership as a priority of foreign policy of the two countries.
President Emomali Rahmon welcomed the distinguished guest in Tajikistan and said that the results of this meeting would give a serious impetus to the strengthening of friendship relations and cooperation.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his gratitude to President Emomali Rahmon for the warm and sincere welcome.
The counterparts paid special attention to the implementation of previously signed documents, the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the activities of the Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TICA) office in Tajikistan, holding of Tajik-Turkish business forum, which can contribute to the development of cooperation between investors and entrepreneurs of the two countries.
The leaders also had an exchange of views on strengthening ties in the fields of transport and logistics, labor migration, developing further cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture as well as expressed their interest in their implementation.
The two leaders also discussed issues relating to the ensuring peace and stability in the war-torn countries of the region and the world, addressing the Afghan crisis, and joint struggle against terrorism and extremism.
Following the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon invited President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.
