Tajikistan and Iran to Compete for CAFA U-19 Championship Gold Medal
DUSHANBE, 14.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The youth team of Tajikistan (U-19) played in their third match in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) championship in Dushanbe.
In the penultimate round, Tajik youth tied with their Uzbek peers with the score of 2:2. Amadoni Kamolov and Rustam Soirov scored goals for the Tajik team, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
In another match, the Iranian team defeated the Afghan team with the score of 2-0.
After four rounds and having accumulated nine points, the Iranian team led the standings. The Tajik team with seven points is on the second line.
The winner of the 2019 CAFA U-19 will be determined in the final round. In order to won gold, the youth team of Tajikistan needs to defeat the Iranian team. The match between them will be held tomorrow at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe and will begin at 20:00.
