Tajik Delegation Attends the Session on Safety of Journalists
DUSHANBE, 19.09.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Warsaw, the head of the Tajik delegation, Assistant to the President of Tajikistan on Legal Issues Zarif Alizoda gave a speech in the second part of the working session of the OSCE Human Dimension Implementation Meeting dedicated to the safety of journalists.
In his speech Alizoda stressed the guaranteed legal security of journalists in Tajikistan, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Alizoda also noted the rights and obligations of journalists in Tajikistan under the current legislation.
The head of the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda also spoke in this meeting.
In his speech Niyatbekzoda noted the efforts and measures taken by Tajikistan to create favorable conditions for the work of journalists.
Niyatbekzoda presented to participants the practice of Tajikistan in ensuring the legal regulation of the activities of journalists, guarantees in obtaining information, as well as the existing responsibility of journalists.
