Zarif Alizoda: Tajikistan State Bodies Provide Guarantees for Independence of Advocacy
DUSHANBE, 25.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On Monday in Warsaw, the head of the Tajik delegation, Assistant to the President of Tajikistan on Legal Issues Zarif Alizoda delivered a speech at the working session of the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM) of OSCE dedicated to the rule of law, including the independence of the courts, and the democratic adoption of laws.
Alizoda emphasized that the judiciary in Tajikistan is independent, and noted the main points of the adopted program of judicial reform in Tajikistan for 2019-2021.
“In Tajikistan state bodies provide guarantees for the independence of advocacy, financing the activities of lawyers that provide free legal assistance. For this purpose, the concept of providing free legal aid in Tajikistan had been approved,” noted Alizoda.
“The government provides open access to the internet portal with legal information in order to familiarize the public with the existing legislation,” said Alizoda.
