DUSHANBE, 23.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Rice Festival organized by the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Dushanbe Executive Body of State Authority will be held later this week on Saturday, reported the Agricultural Ministry.

Different varieties of rice will be showcased from all the regions of the country.

It will also include national rice dishes, a national table spread, a corner dedicated to national traditions and a cultural performance. The recommendations corner organized by the scientists of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences will include information for buyers about different types of rice and their cultivation.

It should be noted that rice cultivation is well-suited to countries and regions with low labor costs and high rainfall, as it is labor-intensive to cultivate and requires ample water.

Rice is a good source of B vitamins, which helps to alleviate degeneration in the nervous system.
