Tajik Scientists Will Attend a Training Seminar in India
DUSHANBE, 07.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Three young scientists from the Physical-Technical Institute named after S. Umarov of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan will take part in a training seminar on the assessment of national infrastructure in support of a new research reactor project from October 14 through October 18 in Bahadurgarh, India. The seminar is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), reported the Director of the Physical-Technical Institute Farhod Shokir.
The Physical-Technical Institute named after S. Umarov in collaboration with the government of Tajikistan and the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences regularly nominates Institute’s physicists for trainings, seminars, conferences and other scientific events to improve their qualifications.
“The seminar is intended to provide participants with practical information and knowledge regarding the operation of the research reactor, the creation of infrastructure for research reactors, and relevant safety standards. The seminar’s goal is alsoto create a platform, where participants can share their experiences, discuss problems and lessons learned during the development and implementation of new research reactor projects,” Shokir noted.
