Assembly of Representatives Adopts Law On Countering Extremism
DUSHANBE, 29.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Assembly of Representatives adopted the draft Law of Tajikistan “On Countering Extremism,” reported the Press Secretary of the Assembly of Representatives Muhammadato Sultonov.
The law was developed in compliance with the requirements of the Constitution of Tajikistan and the Law of Tajikistan “On Normative Legal Acts.» It defines the organizational and legal framework for countering extremism in order to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, the foundations of the constitutional order, and ensuring sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security of Tajikistan.
The adoption of this law testifies to the far-sighted policy of President Emomali Rahmon in countering these negative phenomena.
