Hamlet Will Be Performed at the Mayakovsky Theater in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 06.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Hamlet will be performed for the first time on December 7 and 8 at the State Russian Drama Theater named after V. Mayakovsky in Dushanbe.
The play is directed by the People’s Artist of Tajikistan, laureate of the Rudaki State Prize Bahodur Miralibekov. Its costume and musical designer is Khurshed Mustafayev.
Medieval costumes were specially sewn for this performance, which in their colors and cut fully convey the spirit of that time.
The creative troupe of the theater had been rehearsing for the past three months, and now the audience will be able to enjoy the magic of theatrical art and immerse themselves in the tragic history and medieval plot of Shakespeare.
“Hamlet will always be relevant. It raises the eternal questions of philosophy relating to society. It can be said that this work of Shakespeare is eternal, because over the years it has not lost its significance and relevance. Despite the plot that is difficult for many to understand, everyone can find a piece of himself in this production. Love, revenge, ego, conflicts between close people will not leave spectators without emotional feelings and impressions,” said the theater’s Deputy Director Gulnora Akhmedova.
This Shakespearean five act tragedy is one of his most famous plays and one of the most famous works in world drama.
