National Health Strategy of Tajikistan Discussed in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 06.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the joint review of the 9th year of the implementation of the National Health Strategy of Tajikistan for 2010-2020 was held in Dushanbe.
Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim, Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Nasim Olimzoda, medical workers and strategic partners attended the consultation.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population has carried out a number of works for the practical implementation of the National Health Strategy of Tajikistan for 2010-2020 in the first nine months of this year.
Many events in various areas of health, such as the Congress of Cardiology and Therapists of Asia and the CIS, international conferences on topical issues such as the HIV infection, tuberculosis, malnutrition, international forums on issues relating to the rehabilitation of disabled and the international conference on public health of the CIS member states were held as part of the strategy.
On the basis of the Republican Training and Clinical Center for Family Medicine, regional centers and inter-district departments, 788 medical workers have been trained in the specialty of family medicine.
In particular, in 2018 the Sifat Innoteh Invest LLC was created and operates under the motto “Partnership for the Creation of Digital Tajikistan.»
To date, more than 676 patients have undergone kidney transplantation and 44 liver operations at the National Research Center for Human and Organ Transplantation. In order to reduce the number of people traveling abroad for the purposes of diagnosis and treatment, a bone marrow connection unit is currently operating at the National Scientific Center for Human Organ and Tissue Transplantation, where 12 patients have been operated on.
Over 125 foreign citizens have travelled to Tajikistan for transplantation operations. Of these, 29 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 41 are citizens of Kyrgyzstan, 31 are citizens of Israel and other countries.
