DUSHANBE, 30.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A resident of Dahana village in the Asht district of Sughd province Fotima Mirzokulova was the oldest resident of Tajikistan, before she died at the age of 127 years.

Mirzokulova was the oldest woman in the world, according to her passport, wrote Daily Mail.

According to Daily Mail, other documents confirming the age of Mirkozulova are unknown. She spent her life working in a cooperative farm and continued to harvest cotton long after her retirement.

Mirzokulova has left behind eight children and more than 200 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In an interview from 2018, she said that her first husband and father of her three older children died during the Great Patriotic War. In 1951, at the age of 58, she remarried to a 72-year-old man. In this marriage, she had five more children.

When she was thirty, she studied at an evening school for several years. She also took part in building the Great Ferghana Canal.

According to previously published media reports, the 117-year-old Kane Tanaka from the Japanese city of Fukuoka, born on January 2, 1903 (is confirmed by many documents), and the 122-year-old Jeanne Louise Calment from France, who died in 1997, were officially confirmed to be the oldest women in the world by the Guinness World Records.

In October 2019, it was reported that in the Russian Astrakhan province, the oldest inhabitant of the planet, ethnic Kazakh woman Tanzilya Bisembeeva died six months short of reaching her 125th birthday. Since 2016, she was recorded as the oldest resident of the planet, according to the Russian Guinness Records.
