Somon Air Flies to Wuhan for the Evacuation of Tajik Citizens
DUSHANBE, 10.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, as instructed by the President Emomali Rahmon, a Somon Air charter flight flew to Wuhan to evacuate Tajik citizens, reports the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This flight included medical personnel and specialists of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the government of Tajikistan.
According to the Tajik Embassy in Beijing, as of February 9, 54 Tajik citizens are in Wuhan. All of them will be evacuated.
The plane also delivered a humanitarian cargo consisting of medical supplies on behalf of the government of Tajikistan to the Chinese side in Wuhan.
The Tajik Embassy in Beijing is constantly monitoring the situation around the spread of coronavirus in China, as well as providing the necessary assistance to Tajik citizens.

The Foreign Ministry also calls on citizens to remain calm, to comply with the rules of the host country and take all the necessary measures to prevent the disease.
