EU Intends to Provide Tajikistan with €48 Million to Mitigate COVID-19 Pandemic Consequences
DUSHANBE, 14.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the head of the EU Delegation to Tajikistan Marilyn Josefson.
The meeting focused on the current issues and prospects for the development of multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union, including issues relating to prevention of the coronavirus in the country, reports the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this regard, Josefson informed about the EU’s intention to provide Tajikistan with €48 million to address the immediate needs and mitigate consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Moreover, the two parties also discussed the international agenda and other issues of mutual interest.
