Over 1,500 Trees Will Be Planted in Khorog
DUSHANBE, 24.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – With the aim of improving the landscaping, over 1,500 trees, including 700 decorative, 600 shade-forming and 200 fruit trees will be planted this season in Khorog, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Regiona (GBAO).
To date, 600 ornamental and 200 fruit trees, as well as 700 rose bushes have already been planted in Khorog, reports the city’s administration.
Various kinds of flowers are grown in the greenhouses. A modern greenhouse has also been built in Tirchida settlement, where flowers are also grown.
Khorog population’s uses Temur, Dodikhudoev and Nizhny Shosh-Khorog canals for irrigation of private plots.
In addition, four water supply lines are used to provide residents with drinking water. The city has four reservoirs, each with a capacity of 2,000 m3, which provides the population with clean drinking water.
