DUSHANBE, 25.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Per Dushanbe’s Chairman Rustami Emomali’s request, a large group of 14 Chinese healthcare professionals from the Shaanxi province arrived in Dushanbe to exchange experiences with their counterparts in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

As part of the mutually beneficial cooperation of Dushanbe Chairman’s Office with its twin city in China and the Chinese Embassy, medical equipment and supplies worth $700,000 were also delivered to Tajikistan.

The aid package includes 5 units of mechanical ventilation apparatus (IVL) provided by the Embassy and 10 units of IVL, 2,400 sets of protective clothing, 9,500 units of medical protective masks, 45,000 pairs of disposable gloves, 45,000 pairs of shoe covers extended by the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province. The Joint Commission for Interaction and Friendship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization with Foreign Countries of the Shaanxi Province provided more than 3,000 nucleic acid reagents to identify the infectious disease.

The items will be transferred to the institutions of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and its structures in Dushanbe.
