Interior Ministry Asks Citizens to Report Non-Compliance with Sanitary and Hygienic Rules in Shopping Centers and Stores
DUSHANBE, 19.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Every day media reports on the necessity of observing seemingly simple protective measures against COVID-19. However, many citizens are reportedly not complying. The recommendations are ignored in many stores and shopping centers.
Mobile police units are continually informing citizens seen not wearing masks at kiosks, stalls, grocery stores, public transportion, and the streets about the dangers of non-compliance.
Police officers likewise have recorded numerous cases of non-compliance by grocery store employees in conjunction with non-observance of sanitary requirements. Negligence of irresponsible people can threaten the health of the population at large.
The Ministry of the Interior is addressing citizens and is calling for increased cooperation between the police and the population in the fight against COVID-19. People can report violations of sanitary and hygienic rules in shopping centers and other businesses by calling 221-21-21, which works around the clock.
The ministry is also asking all citizens to observe sanitary standards and hygienic rules, and upon leaving the house to wear masks, observe social distancing and thus contribute to the fight against the pandemic.
