Ministry of Industry Assists Health Ministry in Preventing COVID-19 Spread
DUSHANBE, 04.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies has provided the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population with 5,000 medical masks, 250 disposable medical clothing, 400 kg of chloride and 500 liters of denatured alcohol in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Following President Emomali Rahmon’s initiative regarding the prevention of the coronavirus, the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies is also transferring their monthly salary to a charity fund set up by the republican commission.
Due to the current situation, the ministry has mobilized 15 garment enterprises for the production of masks and medical protective clothing, among which are Sifat Sanoat, Gulistoni Dushanbe, Tajtex, Yokut-2000, Charm, Kota Global, Pharm Tex, Cooperator, Nassoji Khujand, Nohid, Javoni, SATN, Pharm Sughd and Zinat.
