Representatives of Culture and Art Contribute to COVID-19 Fund
DUSHANBE, 21.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Following President Emomali Rahmon’s initiative, the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Ayni and the State Youth Theater named after Mahmudjon Vohidov held a charity event in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and support medical workers.
The employees of the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater provided capital’s health centers No. 5, 1, 14 and 6 with 2,800 medical masks, 1,200 antiseptics, 120 pieces of workwear, 800 rubber gloves and 80 goggles.
The Vohidov theater’s creative team delivered 200 gloves, 100 medical masks, 25 reusable gowns to the Hissor infectious diseases hospital.
The central office of the Ministry of Culture and its subordinate institutions likewise made a big donation, transferring 44,000 somoni to the COVID-19 fund.
