Communications Service Leadership Reported on Earnings
DUSHANBE, 14.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The leadership of the Tajik Communications Service reported on their earnings for the past six months yesterday during a press conference.
According to the report, the total income of enterprises of the Communication Service together with operators and providers amounted to over 1.29 million somoni, which is an increase of 104.7% compared to last year.
The state of the provision of services in the republic is satisfactory, and every effort continues to be made to improve the provision of communication services in remote areas of the country, they noted.
The problems associated with the provision of the Internet, the leadership of the Communication Service connects with the geographical location of the country and the need to improve the work of base stations of providers.
Meanwhile, the number of Internet users in the country has reached 3.18 million people.
Today 7.25 million mobile subscribers are registered in the country, of which 5.32 million are active users.
“According to the governmental decree, there will be no increase in prices for telecommunication services, including the Internet, until the end of this year,” said Ilhom Atoev, deputy head of the Communications Service.
According to him, the prices for telecommunication services in Tajikistan today remain the lowest in Central Asia.
