New Overpass Will Be Opened in Dushanbe in the Coming Days
DUSHANBE, 07.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A new overpass will be put into operation in the Kariyai Bolo area of Dushanbe soon.
The overpass was constructed as part of the second phase of the Dushanbe -Tursunzoda Regional Road Rehabilitation Project. It consists of a roundabout and a bridge and is located at the intersection of Ismoili Somoni and Avicenna avenues.
This area is one of the busiest places of the city and it is crossed by a large number of vehicles, which leads to the congestion and the occurrence of accidents.
The government has planned the construction of the overpass to eliminate heavy traffic jams, improve traffic safety and ensure the safety of pedestrians.
By 2040, 20 such overpasses will be built in Dushanbe within the implementation of the capital’s general plan.
