DUSHANBE, 13.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with members of the government today.

The meeting focused on food security, supplying the market with quality and organic domestic products, adequate hygiene measures for the prevention of coronavirus, preliminary results of the fall and winter heating season and other issues.

Other topics discussed included landscaping for the 30th anniversary of independence and preparations for the new school year.

Deputy Prime Minister Gulmahmadzoda Davlatshoh, Minister of Agriculture Salimzoda Amonullo, Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonzoda Usmonali and Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Abdullozoda Jamoliddin presented their reports on the requisite matters.

During his speech, President Emomali Rahmon drew the attention of members of the government to the current situation in the world, including the effect of external influences on the national economy, the threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and its negative impact on socio-economic development.

President Emomali Rahmon instructed the officials to take urgent measures to ensure the stability of all sectors of the economy.

Other instructions dealt with promoting a healthy lifestyle, maintaining adequate provisions in health centers, and promoting better sanitation and hygiene among population in both public and private areas.
