FIFA and AFC Presidents Hold Video Conference with Leadership of Football Federations

DUSHANBE, 07.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Gianni Infantino and the head of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa held a video conference with the leadership of the football federations that are part of the Central Asian Football Association.
Tajikistan was represented by Vice-President of the Football Federation (FFT) Alisher Urunov.
Infantino discussed the work being done to support associations and FIFA members during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Urunov warmly greeted the FIFA and AFC presidents on behalf of FFT President Rustam Emomali and thanked them for their comprehensive support of Tajik football.
On behalf of FFT Urunov expressed words of support for the policy pursued by FIFA and AFC leadership in the development of world football and, in particular, Asian football.
FFT Vice-President also spoke about the general situation in Tajik football and the consequences of the pandemic.
The leadership of the football federations that are part of the Central Asian Football Association invited the FIFA and AFC presidents to pay an official visit to their countries.
