Tajikistan’s Matches Against Mongolia, Japan and Myanmar Postponed to 2021
DUSHANBE, 12.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan’s matches against Mongolia, Japan and Myanmar at the 2022 World Cup qualifying tournament, which were scheduled for October and November this year, have been postponed to 2021.
Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have jointly decided that the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifying matches will be postponed.
In order to protect the health and safety of all participants, FIFA and AFC will continue to work together to closely monitor the situation in the region and to determine new dates for the respective qualifying matches. More details on new dates for the next 2022 World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers will be announced soon.
