DUSHANBE, 24.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent a message of congratulations to the Football Federation of Tajikistan in connection with the early victory of the FC Istiklol in the Tajikistan’s Championship 2020, reports FC Istiklol’s official website.

Infantino’s message of congratulations dated September 23 and addressed to the President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali says:

Please allow me to congratulate FC Istiklol for having been crowned 2020 champions of Tajikistan, their seventh consecutive championship title!

This title is, no doubt, the result of hard work, passion and commitment, and everyone at the club can surely be proud of this important achievement. I would be grateful if you could please extend my congratulations to everybody involved, whom I encourage to continue working with determination and motivation in the future.

On behalf of the international football community, I finally take this opportunity to thank you and your Federation for your contribution to the development and the prosperity of football in Tajikistan, in your region and around the world.

Istiklol has officially become the champion of Tajikistan three rounds before the end of the 2020 season. This is the ninth league title in Istiklol’s club history.

Previously, Istiklol won the championship in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
