DUSHANBE, 18.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – 2020 was a responsible year for healthcare workers, a test of knowledge and skills, since with the COVID-19 emergence and spread, the responsibility of doctors in society has increased significantly. In such a difficult period, they were able to make a worthy contribution using professional knowledge and skills in the prevention and treatment of this disease. This was noted by the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda during the summing up of the results of the health sector for 2020.
The Minister noted that in 2020, Tajik doctors passed a serious exam in the field of prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
During this period, per President Emomali Rahmon’s initiative and instruction, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with country’s other relevant structures took important and timely measures to intensify work to protect public health, including the to prevent and treat COVID -19.
