Rahimov Ranks Fifth Place in the Doha World Judo Masters

DUSHANBE, 14.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Tajik judoka Temur Rahimov took the fifth place in the Doha World Judo Masters 2021.
Rahimov in the +100 kg weight category in the first round beat the Austrian judoka Stefan Hegi, and in the second round defeated the Israeli athlete Or Sasson, and in the quarterfinals lost to the Russian Inal Tasoev.
Rahimov defeated South Korean judoka Min Yong Kim in the repechage bout, but lost to the Ukrainian athlete Yakiv Hammo in the fight for third place, finishing in fifth.
Rahimov scored 648 points for fifth place in the World Judo Masters, which will strengthen his position in the Olympic rankings for getting to the Tokyo Olympic Games.
