Minister of Culture Davlatzoda Meets Afghan Deputy FM

DUSHANBE, 03.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Culture Zulfiya Davlatzoda met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Mirwais Nab.
The parties discussed the issues relating to expanding cultural ties in the field of music and exchange of art and theater groups, exchange of materials and cultural publications, research and restoration of historical and cultural monuments, organization of exhibitions of handicrafts such as composition, carving and jewelry, art tours, holding joint consultations and seminars on the establishment of libraries and museums, the improvement of their activities and the publication of the necessary materials for educational and public institutions of Afghanistan.
The officials noted that bilateral cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan is based on international standards, taking into account mutual interests and is being strengthened every year.
Nab stressed that the Tajik-Afghan cultural cooperation has deep historical roots and has rich cultural and linguistic commonalities. He noted that the government of Afghanistan and the Afghan people want to develop and strengthen cultural cooperation with their Tajik-speaking people.
The 9th Ministerial Conference of Heart of Asia — Istanbul Process is scheduled for March 29-30 in Dushanbe. The conference will be attended by presidents Emomali Rahmon and Muhammad Ashraf Ghani.
