Mother and Child Health Issues Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 09.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The level and quality of medical services to the population, especially mothers and children was discussed yesterday in Dushanbe by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda and Yoshiko Akiyama, the head of Improving the System of Maternal and Child Health Project in Khatlon region funded by Japan.
The project was scheduled to be completed in July 2021, but due to the pandemic, most activities have been postponed.
The new deadline has been extended by 17 months.
The additional planned work is related to the water supply of the central hospitals of the Kushoniyon district and Levakant.
Particular attention was paid to the hospital specialists in the project’s pilot cities and districts, which includes Norak, Kushoniyon, Baljuvon, Khovaling, Muminobod and Levakant.
