DUSHANBE, 16.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Ghafur Muzinzoda met with the President of the State Budgetary Institution of Healthcare, Scientific and Practical Center for Narcology of the Moscow Health Department, narcology specialist, Chairman of the Association for the Coordination of CSTO Narcologists Yevgeny Brun, Advisor to the CSTO Secretariat Mikhail Melikhov, Director General of the State Institution, Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health of Kazakhstan, Chief Specialist of Narcological Diseases of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan Nikolai Negai, employee of the regional program for Afghanistan and neighboring countries of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime Zhanerke Omarova.
The guests were presented with information about the efforts of the government in the fight against the spread of drugs and drug addiction.
The parties also discussed issues related to non-medical drug use in the countries participating in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, with the problems of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation of drug addicts, and coordination of effective interaction.
The parties expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in the treatment and prevention of drug-related diseases.
