Dushanbe Hosts Meeting of the Working Commission for Organizing the Export of Early Fruits and Vegetables

DUSHANBE, 28.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Dushanbe hosted the third meeting of the Working Commission for organizing the export of early fruits and vegetables in strict compliance with phytosanitary and epidemiological requirements.
The Commission was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda, Minister of Agriculture Sulaimon Ziyozoda (Chairman of the Working Commission), representatives of ministries and departments, deputy heads of regions and heads of main departments of agriculture, industry and private associations, as well as domestic entrepreneurs.
Initially, Ziyozoda reported on the results of the work done in the framework of activities in 2020.
Brief reports were heard on the possibilities of the volume of production and export of early fruits and vegetables in 2021. The specific proposals were made to increase exports, on contracts concluded by business entities for the supply of agricultural products, on the state of provision of vehicles for uninterrupted and timely export of agricultural products and on other export-related issues.
Gulmahmadzoda noted that foreign countries are showing interest in Tajikistan’s agricultural products, including onions.
“In this regard, one of the priorities of the Working Commission is to stimulate and comprehensively support domestic entrepreneurs in the export of this type of product,” he noted.
Following the meeting, the responsible persons and members of the Working Commission were given instructions.
