Liquidation of Natural Disaster Consequences Continues in Kulob

DUSHANBE, 19.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Liquidation of the consequences of the natural disaster continues in Kulob, reports the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CESCD).
As of May 18, liquidation of the consequences was carried out on the Sadykov, Khati Roh, Korvonguzar, Nonboyi Poyon, Sugdiyon, Charmgaroni Poyon, and Nurafshon streets.
Servicemen and rescuers of the CESCD, military personnel of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in the restoration work. Special equipment is also involved.
Disinfection work is carried out every day in residential buildings, courtyards and streets in order to comply with sanitary and epidemic standards.
The affected population is provided with three hot meals a day. A medical center has been also established.
The Republican Operational Commission for the Elimination of Natural Disasters Consequences is working around the clock in order to coordinate joint actions of ministries and departments and to provide assistance to the affected population.
The Commission receives citizens and sums up results at the meeting on a daily basis.
The Commission’s meeting with the participation of heads of power structures, law enforcement agencies, and representatives of local administration is held twice a week.
