Tajik Athletes Win Bronze Medals at the Asian Boxing Championship

DUSHANBE, 28.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, fights of athletes took place in the semifinals of the Asian Boxing Championship.
Two Tajik sportswomen — Mijgona Samadova and Shoira Zulkainarova took part in fights and lost to their rivals.
Mijgona Samadova in the weight of 57 kg lost to Sitora Turdibekova from Uzbekistan with a score of 0-5. Shoira Zulkainarova in the weight of 60 kg lost to the athlete from Indonesia Hasanan Khusvatun with a score of 2-3.
Samadova and Zulkainarova will be awarded a bronze medal and a cash prize of $ 2,500.
The Asian Boxing Championship started on May 24 in Dubai and will run until May 31.
Today, the semifinal among men will take place, where Tajik athletes Bahodur Usmonov in the weight category up to 60 kg will compete against Shiva Tana from India, and Shabbos Negmatulloev in the weight category up to 81 kg against Dilshod Ruzmetov from Uzbekistan.
