Boxer Zuhurov Reaches the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games

DUSHANBE, 08.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – A member of the national boxing team of Tajikistan Siyovush Zuhurov reached the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, reports the National Olympic Committee.
According to the draw of the special group of the International Olympic Committee on boxing, Zuhurov got the opportunity to take part in the 32 Olympic Games in the weight category +91 kg.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a special group canceled the World Olympic Qualifiers and distributed quotas according to the draw.
Thus, the Tajik Olympic team consists of 11 people, including Bahodur Usmonov, Shabbos Negmatulloev, Siyovush Zuhurov (boxing), Gulsumbi Sharipova, Ildar Akhmadiev (athletics), Somon Mahmadbekov, Akmal Murodov, Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (judo), and Olimjon Ishanov (swimming).
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games will be held from July 23 through o August 8, 2021.
