PM Rasulzoda Travels to Disaster Areas in Tojikobod and Rasht

DUSHANBE, 21.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda got acquainted with the process of work to eliminate the consequences of natural disasters in Tojikobod and Rasht districts, which took place on July 10.
Rasulzoda was familiarized with the process in Tojikobod and visited the residents whose relatives died as a result of the earthquake.
Rasulzoda also visited the affected areas of Rasht district.
Five residents of Buston village (formerly named Kuli Bolo) of the Langari Shokh rural community of the Tojikobod district were trapped and died as a resut of the nearly 6-magnitude earthquake. Also, houses and power lines were partially damaged in the villages of Buston, Shirinchashma and Kuli kalon of Tojikobod district. Seven residential buildings were damaged in the villages of Hazorchashma and Yarhob of the Rasht district, and 12 residential buildings in the villages of Sharkho and Sari Shukhon of the Askalon rural community of this district.
Per President Emomali Rahmon’s instructions, a competent commission headed by Prime Minister Rasulzoda was created. Members of the commission were sent to the scene to study the situation, determine the amount of damage, and eliminate the consequences of the earthquake.
The affected families were provided with temporary housing, primary health care and hot meals.
