DUSHANBE, 05.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – During his state visit in Turkmenistan, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov visited the city of Turkmenbashi.
The presidents continued their dialogue in plane. A further development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan was discussed frankly and openly in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.
While in Turkmenbashi, President Rahmon visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and got acquainted with its main operation and with its technical possibilities, and had a talk with its managements. The discussion centered on the establishment of cooperation for the transportation of goods and utilizing the port to enter the markets of other countries and establishing the import and export of various Tajik products.
The establishment of communication through the international seaport of Turkmenbashi will become one of the important factors in strengthening and expanding relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the transport sector, which is beneficial for both parties.
