DUSHANBE, 15.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) –The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the Russian delegation, which includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Dmitry Kozak, who are in Dushanbe to take part in the meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Their discussion focused on a wide range of issues concerning the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Russia.
In addition, they looked at the regional and global agenda, particularly touching upon the upcoming summits of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization set to take place in Dushanbe.
Special attention was paid to all important aspects of cooperation, including in the military, military and technical spheres.
Paying special attention to the current military and political developments in Afghanistan, they exchanged views on the situation in the border which connects the two countries.
They noted the necessity of preventing threats and dangers, as well as strengthening border protection and maintaining contact on various levels.
